Case Manager - Tumbelin (Mount Gambier)


About the role – Full Time Maximum Term contract until 30 June 2027  

This Case Manager role with Baptist Care SA is a hands-on opportunity to support young people facing comorbid substance use and mental health challenges. Through the Tumbelin program, you’ll combine case management with adventure-based activities like camps and group workshops to build resilience, self-awareness, and positive life pathways. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and local services to deliver meaningful, outcome-focused support and make a real difference in young people’s lives.

About you

You are a motivated and adaptable professional with a genuine passion for working with young people. You bring enthusiasm, a hunger to learn, and a natural ability to connect and build trust with others. With an adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors, you thrive in hands-on environments and are excited by the opportunity to deliver engaging, meaningful programs. You are also organised and reliable, with the ability to manage administrative tasks such as case noting and using Microsoft Office systems alongside program delivery.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant degree qualification and/or a diploma in social work, psychology, education, counselling, youth work or a related field
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling (or willingness to work towards this or an equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs, including mental health and/or substance use.
