In House Practitioner - Mount Gambier
About the role – Permanent Full Time
This is a rewarding opportunity to lead and support a therapeutic residential home for children and young people. In this role, you will guide Youth Support Workers to deliver consistent, trauma-informed care while creating a safe and nurturing environment. You will coordinate daily operations, implement care plans, respond to complex behaviours, and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes for young people.
About you:
We are seeking a compassionate and resilient professional with strong leadership and communication skills. You will have experience in trauma-informed care, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable young people while fostering a positive team environment.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of Cert IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or Disability (in conjunction with relevant experience).
- Experience in trauma-informed care and working with children and young people
- Strong leadership and team support skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and respond to crises
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
