Program Coordinator - Adventure Pathways

About the role:

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in fulfilling BaptistCare's Adventure Pathways purpose helping people connect with themselves, others, God, and the natural world through outdoor experiences.

This role is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality adventure and outdoor education programs tailored to the needs of school partners. By working closely with each school, the Program Coordinator ensures programs align with their objectives and collaborates with the Program Facilitation Team to bring them to life.

While schools are the primary focus, the role also supports other customer groups as needed.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Design and deliver tailor-made adventure and/or outdoor educational programs which meet the objectives and budgets of our customers.
  • Facilitate adventure activity sessions within your programs when required.
  • Design & deliver the Christian content for school groups.

About you:

You are passionate about the outdoors and the impact it can have on young people. With experience in program design and facilitation, you bring creativity, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Collaborative, safety-focused, and values-driven, you’re ready to help grow and deliver meaningful outdoor experiences

You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience (min 3-5 years) in delivering outdoor recreation and educational activities in Campsites and wilderness settings.
  • Working knowledge of outdoor industry risk management practices and standard, including the Australian Adventure Activity Standards.
  • Highly experienced in designing and delivering adventure-based learning (ABL) programs that meet client objectives.
