Team Leader - Wardli-ana


About the role – Maximum Term Fulltime (12 Months)

Baptist Care SA, as part of the Toward Home Alliance, is seeking a passionate Team Leader to lead the Wardli-ana program supporting transformational change in how services respond to homelessness. You’ll join a bold and collaborative effort to end homelessness through culturally appropriate, person-led, and integrated service delivery. As a key leader, you will foster a supportive team culture, build strong partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and ensure high-quality, client-centred care that promotes cultural identity and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Lead a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary Wardli-ana case management team to provide outstanding services and encourage innovation in service delivery to meet client needs
  • Participate with Baptist Care SA leadership to ensure effective delivery of Baptist Care SA’s Stakeholder Engagement strategy and plan
  • Operationalise and maintain continuous quality improvement to ensure high quality client care and financial sustainability of the service

About you:

You’re a compassionate and culturally aware leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness. With a strong commitment to social justice, you bring experience in leading teams, building meaningful community partnerships, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality, person-led service

You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, community services, management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in human services or similar environment
  • Adaptive leadership skills and ability to engage with senior leaders, service delivery workers and clients
